Delete Useless Shapekeys [Blender Addon]
This is an addon for blender that allows the automation of deleting shapekeys via a distance threshold. That means getting rid of shapekeys that don't do anything.
Button for the addon can be found in the shapekey context menu (down arrow in shapekey panel). A popup will appear to double check values before it runs.
The addon works by checking the offset of the vertices in the shapekey from what they were in the Basis shapekey. If they don't exceed the threshold, they are deleted. The threshold can be tweaked, allowing correction for things like floating point precision error or just removing shapekeys that don't do much. A info notification will appear (normally on the bottom bar of blender) telling you how many shapekeys were deleted.
Install Guide:
- Download the file
- Go to Edit->Preferences->Add-ons then press the install button
