Hyenid Low Poly Skeleton
Spooky, scary, hyenid skeleton!
This is a skeleton made to reside inside of the hyenid avatar. It comes in two versions, as pieces and as a whole skeleton. The full skeleton is easily attached to an existing hyenid armature using a program like blender, as it is already weight painted for it. The individual pieces are for if you wanted to try using the hierarchy in unity to move the bones by adding them as children to an existing character (this works well for most bones, but parts of the ribcage, collar bone, and spine won't look as good).
The slime materials used in the promotion images are also included with the files. I'm not the best with shaders with unity however, so I'd recommend finding a better one if you can. Slime shader for unity is made using Mochie, so you'll have to download Mochie for it to work correctly.
Model Stats:
- Vertice Count: 3006
- Faces: 2684
- Triangles: 5368
Important Notes:
- Doesn't come with an armature (didn't want to essentially copy the whole hyenid armature)
- Visemes are included as shapekeys (on the jaw and lower teeth for the pieces)
- Minor clipping can occur when bending the chest forward and back between the rib cage and the chest at larger angles
- Mochie is required for the unity slime shader (Available here: https://github.com/MochiesCode/Mochies-Unity-Shaders/releases)
- Hyenid is made by Alber and available here: https://alber.gumroad.com/l/Hyenid
- Remember if using the fbx to ensure the correct normals in the settings!
- Lower teeth doesn't disappear with teeth removal shapekey. Tried to fix, but messes up when using visemes (due to the stacking of shapekeys), so left as is
Changelog:
- May 28, 2024:
- Added more shapekeys to the bones to better fit the hyenid and correct for some clipping (skull, jaw, lower teeth, collar bones, sternum, and ribcage specifically)
- June 27, 2024:
- Added more shapekeys to the pelvis and femur to fit the hyenid when the smaller thigh shapekey was used
- September 9, 2024
- Fixed upper teeth so they extend with snoot. Also added a thin fingers shapekey to the full skeleton to assist with possible clipping in hands.
- October 6, 2024
- Added a text document to help note how to attach the skeleton using blender. Minor familiarity with blender recommended. Also bolded "doesn't" in important notes to help avoid confusion.
